Justo Noda is presented as the new Head Coach of the Peruvian Judo Federation
He was presented this Tuesday in Lima Peru as a new member of the coaching staff heading to Paris 2024
After being head coach of the Cuban men's national team for more than 20 years and head coach of one of the IJF centers in Pan America, Master Justo Noda is preparing for a new challenge in his coaching career.
He is proudly presented as head coach of the Peruvian Judo Federation this Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at the Videna high-performance center in the Capital City of Lima, Peru.
In a telephone interview, Professor Justo Noda tells us how he approached the Peruvian Judo Federation.
“The invitation comes from two or three ways, there were two or three proposals and Mr. Vizer spoke with me and after the Olympic Games he was going to assign me to a country and it coincided that Peru needed a head coach, someone with experience and I had talks with Humberto and Mrs. María, president of the Peruvian Judo Federation, who was the one who requested me, told me that I wanted to work with Peru and I believe that the central idea came from the Peruvian Judo Federation and the IJF.”
In addition, Master Justo Noda is very happy with the opportunity to work with one of the most prolific trainers in Pan America, María Martínez, who is now the current president of the Peruvian Judo Federation.
“The central idea came from an offer made by María, president of the Peruvian judo federation, to work in Peru, where it seems very interesting, first because María was also a coach and it is sometimes easier to work with a president who has been a high-ranking coach. level like María and that they have knowledge of what they want to do and I liked that a lot.”
The challenge is great and without a doubt Justo Noda will continue to leave a mark in each country in which he is a coach.
“The challenge for Judo Peru, as I told you, is great and it is not easy, it is not that it is flying, we are with our feet on the ground, first the South American Games for Peru are very strong, there you have Brazil, Argentina and other countries, but Above all, the purpose cannot be just a medal of a good color, so for that you would have to face one of those countries and other countries that have some figure, also a purpose that I have is to take some Peruvian judo figures to the Olympic Games that he qualifies for his participation at the world level, not because the athlete is assigned a place at the Pan American level”. Bringing a Peruvian to the Olympic Games because he is among the first 16 in the world is a firm purpose of Master Justo Noda.
Master Justo Noda is sure that it can be achieved with the support of the federation and sports in Peru, and trying to improve in all indicators is his fundamental purpose.
